On June 2, 2015, I lost my Dad. He spent many years fighting off various health problems.
Ultimately, leukemia did him in.
That’s why I’m training for a 5K mud run in September, which will raise funds for leukemia research. I’m creating a podcast which will serve as an audio journal for my training.
If you’re training for a race, or want to train for one, I hope the lessons that I learn help you on your journey.
This is my very first race. I didn’t even consider myself a runner until about two weeks ago when I trained that first day.
To keep my connection with Dad alive, and to keep his spirit in my life, I have become a runner.
